Lowering the boom at Boom Lake

On a late-season ski into Boom Lake, Emmett sets the tone for the outing by rolling his chariot into a tree well. Twice. He emerges unscathed.

His mom, on the other hand, rolls her knee into a sun-softened drift and emerges Lady Limps-a-lot with a second degree MCL strain. Emmett's dad, fearing the wrath of Emmett's mom, opts to waive his option to photograph the event.

What better opportunity, though, to share photographic evidence of Uncle Blair's spectacular 2003 crash... ironically, at the exact same spot on the exact same trail.

Freedom: Gone. Baby: Everywhere.

Under the guise of "babysitting" while Emmett's parents take off for an overnight in the mountains, Auntie Clare kicks off BabyWalk Bootcamp 2011. Thirty hours in a pair of iron boots, a few dozen laps around the building, and Emmett 2.0 launches mere seconds after his parents return.

Grey Cup Sunday

With the copious amounts of snow last week, Emmett's parents were itching to get out and play. Emmett agreed to go cross country skiing on Sunday, only after he got assurance from his parents that he'd be back in time for the big game.

In typical Emmett fashion, he was unfazed by being bundled in a snowsuit and pulled around in his stroller. Speaking of fashion...

Emmett's choice of colours and stripes were a little less than coordinated. But then again, what difference does it make when you are sitting with your dad and a tasty beverage, watching the Grey Cup? (thanks to the TSN live stream this year, Dad and Emmett were able to see the game).
