New digs for Emmett

Stampede sharing

While on the grounds at Stampede last week, Emmett illustrates how to avoid sharing food by simply denying its existence.

Upon review of the day's photographic record, Emmett's dad retaliates by naming the following photo, "Last Corn Dog Ever Shared With Emmett (2011)".

Emmett's new ball

Uncle John goes on a river salvage mission this week and yields a Spider-Man ball to which Emmett develops an unnatural attachment. He plays with it constantly, insists on bringing it to bed and, today, introduces Ball as his new essential dining companion.

A bit of facial hair, and Emmett becomes a dead ringer for Tom Hanks in Castaway.

Canada Day in Calgary and Kelowna

2/3 of StranMcCann are in Kelowna, enjoying Jeffer's Fryzz, lemon heaven, Ogopogo mini donuts, mini-melts ice cream, fireworks and the Kidzone at the Celebrate Canada Day Festival. The remaining 1/3 stayed in Calgary for a last minute MRI of her injured knee. Who knew they did MRI's on a holiday? But at Emmett's insistence, his mom quickly made some last minute changes to their holiday travel plans and took the scheduled appointment. Better to take it when you get it, rather than wait an estimated six months. She'll head west post Canada Day, and hope for some leftover donuts.
