So you think you can Dance

Some might think Emmett learned his dance moves from his mom (this one looks reminiscent of 'Stompin' Out The Cigarette'). Nope. He is self taught, creating his own moves and routines.

He needs a little help with the 'Banging Head Against Door Frame' move. And his dancing outfit could use some work.

Saturday morning cinnamon buns

In honour of her last day at work, Emmett's mom's co-workers gave her a homemade cinnamon bun send off yesterday. Curious to see if Emmett had the same love of buns (cinnamon buns) as his mom, his parents gave him a sample at breakfast.

A hit, and his cinnamon bun education is progressing. He is a quick learner, and will arm wrestle his dad for the heart next time.

Relics from his mom's childhood

Emmett...meet Leona Golda. Leona Golda, meet Emmett.

They seem to be hitting it off quite well.
Unfortunately, Leona's cousin Fabien Gerald could not be found anywhere. Word on the street is he ran off to Mexico. Either that, or he's squished deep in a box in the back of a closet. Poor Fabien.

Bull in a china shop

Curious to see what kind of damage he can cause while barricaded in his Gramma's dining room, Emmett's dad watches helplessly as Emmett unexpectedly unleashes toddler fury on his own face.

Interesting footnote: The tune playing on Emmett's grandparents' radio is Help I'm Alive, by Canadian indie band Metric. The fact that Emmett eats it at the very instant they sing, "If I stumble," is purely coincidental. Even Emmett's dad can't edit that well.

Avocado and Nana's raisin cake

He hasn't quite mastered a knife and a fork, but Emmett is getting the hang of using a spoon. For the most part.

However, when it comes to Nana's raisin cake, forget the utensils. Fingers are the cutlery of choice, allowing for more rapid transportation from tray to tummy.
