Hoodie = hooded sweatshirt = bunny hug = kangaroo jacket = instant heat = amazing invention

It's one of those strangely typical ever-changing Calgary days when, in a matter of minutes, a front has rolled through and the temperature has plummetted. And all the windows are open. And now it's cold inside.

Simple energy-efficient two-step remedy:
(1) Close windows. (2) Put on hoodie.

Where else but in Canada...


...would you expect to, downtown in a city of a million people, happen upon an argument between two Canada geese and a beaver? Seems that the beaver is trying to dam the Elbow River but the geese, having built a nest close by, are playing the NIMBY card.

Throw 'em in Flames jerseys and park their respective SUV's close by, and you'd swear they were human.

A Winter of Endless Long Weekends


The down side of banking huge amounts of lieu time at work is that you're eventually forced to cash in on it. The up side is that you're eventually forced to cash in on it.






Our long weekends through February and March took us to Jasper, Yellowknife, Waterton, Lake Louise, Kelowna, and (unexpectedly) the Columbia Brewery in Creston, BC.
