The poor neglected blog

Once upon a time we posted every day, if not every other day! Months have gone by, and our poor neglected blog is an eyesore, missing the wee moments of our everyday life.

The days are long, but the years are short...so here are few moments captured in October during a StranMcCann photoshoot, and a resolution to try and keep this more up to date!

Future's so bright

The whole crew has been on the sickness merry-go-round since the third week of December. Fighting some tummy troubles, Oscar strikes a curious pose as Backyardigans-watching Bad Dude with Barf Bucket.

The tooth fairy makes another visit

Emmett's Mom is becoming quite skilled at extracting teeth. Number two wiggly tooth was causing Emmett some pain, so she helped it along. Emmett is excited for the tooth fairy to arrive tonight, "to take my tooth, and give me some money so I can pay down my debt*!"

(*emmett is currently in the hole $37 to his mom after he 'won' a toy at a silent auction.)

Mother's Day

Unbeknownst to Oscar, Emmett presents his mother with a gift that places him firmly in the spot of favourite son.

Orange is the new blue?

Overheard at StranMcCann this evening:

"This is so stressful. I don't know what to watch - the election results, the Flames game or the weather radar because a storm is coming in."



Yes, it's a big and potentially historic day in Emmett and Oscar's province. After 44 years in power, Alberta might be saying goodbye to the conservatives, hello to NDP.

But more importantly, Village Ice Cream was giving out free cones to those who took selfies outside of polling stations. Never one to pass up a freebie, Emmett and Oscar's mom propped up Oscar for a shot, and headed down after school for the sweet treat. The boys now believe voting = ice cream. Yay democracy!
